So, I had no idea what to get my mom for Christmas and I knew I owed her something better than just a book or a scarf or something. So I decided to do a 12 days of Christmas thing, before Christmas and I followed what the poem said, and in case you don't know the poem very well here it is:
On the first day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
A partridge in a pear tree.
On the second day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the third day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the fourth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the fifth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the sixth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the seventh day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the eighth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the ninth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the tenth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the eleventh day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love gave to me
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree!
It's the longest song ever haha, but anyways in case you want some idea but can't afford to get an actually Partridge or a pear tree or six geese, then you can do these things. So on the first day I didn't really have anything so I gave my mom a rose instead, but you could also give them a pear or something like that. On the next day you can give them the candy turtles and doves and you have turtle doves ha. The 3rd day I gave my mom chicken in a biscuit, I know it's not a French Hen, but hey it's pretty close and she really likes those. The 4th day I'm going to give her a really annoying squeaking bird, because she likes thinks that make noise... I have no idea why. On the 5th day I went to amazon.com and bought her (with the help of my dad) a "gold" ring. It wasn't very expensive, and it's really cute. I haven't gotten everything yet so I don't really know what I'm going to do for the 6th day, I know that's no help to you. The 7 day I got her a swan necklace, and again really cheap but still good quality. On the 8th day I got her a stuffed cow, she could also get a goat or something too ... anything that's milkable. I got her a dancing game for the 9th day because she's trying to lose weight and I know she'll really like it. I have no idea what to do for the 10th day ha. The eleventh day I'm burning her a CD of Music she likes. The 12th day again I still don't know, so if you guys have any ideas let me know! Thanks!
